Welcome

Legacy Planning.  It is a subject that affects all of us – the legacies that we pass on to our children and grandchildren, and how these legacies can be enhanced or hindered by the actions we take – or don’t take – in response to certain government regulations and policies. Thus, it’s an important subject that requires understanding and analysis. But it’s also a subject that provides conclusions that are both practical and altruistic.
WHY Legacy Planning

What is Legacy Planning?

Tangible or Intangible?

Legacy planning is both tangible and intangible, but the tangibles can be left out of your control...

Same as Estate Planning?

While Estate Planning and Legacy Planning must and will coordinate, they are very different in approach, timing and design.  Estate planning produces some of the tools needed to pass on an inheritance most effectively, but legacy planning assures there will be an inheritance to pass on, and that it will be in the most desirable form to pass it on.

Complicated?

Not necessarily.  In fact, it can be as simple as leaving a grandchild a small financial sum, controlled and still owned by you until your death.

What is the impact of TAXES on your inheritance?

With taxes likely to be far greater in the future for your children and your grandchildren, how to you prevent your inheritance from being eroded by taxes?

The 2019 SECURE ACT

What does this new law mean for your inheritance?  What does the elimination of the stretch IRA mean for your heirs?
